SafeClo provides organisations with control over the files and information they choose to store on the platform. Customers remain responsible for determining what information they upload, who should have access to it and the appropriate retention requirements for their organisation.
Where appropriate, SafeClo can provide information regarding our data-processing practices to help customers assess the service against their own data-protection obligations.
Our UK storage option can also help organisations with requirements or preferences concerning the geographical location of their data.

Files stored through SafeClo are protected using AES-256 encryption at rest, helping protect stored information against unauthorised access at the storage layer. Data transmitted between supported SafeClo services and users is protected using secure encrypted connections.
SafeClo also provides account and access controls designed to help organisations determine who can access their information. File versioning and configurable retention capabilities provide additional protection against accidental changes or deletion by allowing organisations to retain previous versions according to their requirements.
Security is not treated as a one-time feature. We review the platform and its supporting infrastructure as the service develops and work to maintain appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
Customers also play an important role in protecting their accounts by maintaining secure credentials, controlling user access appropriately and following their organisation’s own security policies.

Where business information is stored can be an important consideration when choosing a cloud service. Regulatory requirements, internal company policies, customer contracts and data-governance strategies can all influence where an organisation wants its information to reside.
SafeClo provides regional storage options designed to give customers greater control over the geographical location of their stored files.
Customers can select an available storage region, including UK-based storage, allowing organisations to keep their SafeClo file data within their preferred supported region. Additional regional options may also be available depending on the SafeClo service selected.
This can be particularly valuable for organisations that prefer their business information to remain within a particular jurisdiction or have contractual or internal requirements relating to data location.
Data residency works alongside SafeClo’s broader approach to security and data protection. Stored files are protected using AES-256 encryption at rest, while access to data is governed through the SafeClo platform.
Our objective is to give businesses greater visibility and control over where their cloud data is stored rather than treating data location as an afterthought.
